Hi. This page: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/load-index/ says "It is not supported for tables having user-defined partitioning (see http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/partitioning-limitations.html)"; It sounds to me like a MySQL-only limitation, but I'm not sure. Is it correct? Federico

Hi, Ian, Could you, please, document Roles? It's a new feature, just added to 10.0. See the task description MDEV-4397 and the corresponding pages in the SQL-99, Complete, Really - we tried to make our implementation very close to the standard. Perhaps, the page should mention that roles were implemented as a GSoC 2013 project by a student Vicentiu Ciorbaru. But in this case PCRE pages should mention GSoC and the student name too. This page: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/example-storage-engine/ says: "It is no longer included in MariaDB." However, I see ha_example.dll in MariaDB 10.0.4 for Windows. I don't know if it is reintroduced or it is a bug, so I can't file a bug or edit the kb. Federico

https://mariadb.com/kb/en/what-is-mariadb-100/ for reference • New InnoDB — from MySQL 5.6.5 (MDEV-303) We have a newer InnoDB I believe (from 5.6.10 in 10.0.4) • Performance schema — from MySQL 5.6.5 (without host cache) We now have host cache in P_S in 10.0.4 (https://mariadb.atlassian.net/browse/MDEV-4058) Those were just the items I noted quickly. Hi all I would like to add to KB some info about 2 (great) tools: Shard Query and FlexViews. Shard Query is a sharding solution and FlexViews manages materialized views, both are written in PHP + SQL stored programs, BSD-new, copyright owner is Justin Swanhart: http://shardquery.com/ Since the KB contains info about some GUIs, I beleive that tools like these are appropriate too, but I think that some approval from the list is needed... [Maria-docs] Adding versions to documentation

All, Whenever we document new features in the Knowledge Base, one thing we need to do is say when it was (or will be) introduced. For example, if I'm documenting a feature that was introduced in MariaDB 10.0.4, I would add something similar to the following to the top of the page: <<product mariadb from=10.0.4>> This feature was introduced in MariaDB 10.0.4 <</product>> If you're in a hurry and can't remember the <<product>> macro syntax, just use a sentence. We'll wrap it in a product macro later. Also, if you come across an article that doesn't have this information, please add it if you can, or send me an email so that I know it's missing.
