hi guys! could be nice more examples about spider storage engine, and more docs the spider web site don't have nice docs, and mariadb storage page too, all i have is source code to study, any other informations could be really nice, anyone could help improving this storage docs? thanks guys -- Roberto Spadim

I'm currently just waiting for buildbot to finish building and then I'll package up the release so that it can get mirrored over the next few hours and we can release tomorrow after some final testing of the finished repos. [Maria-docs] The KB has moved to mariadb.com

Many people have expressed to me and others working on MariaDB that it would make the most sense for the KB to be located under a MariaDB domain, so I'm happy to report that the KB is now at https://mariadb.com/kb If you've used the KB in the last couple of days, you've probably already noticed this as the change went live over the weekend. We've also updated the colors to match the new look of mariadb.com. We're working on a complete visual refresh to integrate it completely into the look and feel of the new site. But that will come later. For now it's the same KB with slightly different colors under a new domain. All https://kb.askmonty.org/... links should redirect automatically to the correct spot on the new site. Please let me know ASAP via email, IRC, Twitter, G+, or even carrier pigeon if anything isn't working. [Maria-docs] sql_quote_show and SHOW CREATE PROCEDURE etc

The SHOW CREATE PROCEDURE, SHOW CREATE FUNCTION and SHOW CREATE TRIGGER articles were documented with the change: The output of these statements is not affected by the sql_quote_show_create server system variable. (see for example https://kb.askmonty.org/en/show-create-procedure/revision/18704/18357/) I've reverted this, as this is not strictly-speaking true. The output is unreliably affected by the variable. In my testing, the output of ALL procedures was quoted when the MOST RECENT procedure was created with sql_quote_show=1, and the output of all was unquoted when the most recent procedure was created with sql_quote_show=0. A related bug is: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=12719 but that bug report doesn't fully explain the (current) situation. The bug was also noted as "can't fix" in the comments. I didn't want to document the above without further testing (will the quoted status of functions being created affect procedures? Triggers? Events?), so just reverted for now, but it's worth further investigating. ian
