Hi, all Today, we setup new master/slave (both MariaDB 10.1.14), add log_slave_updates=1, log_bin , relay_log parameters in slave's my.cnf file. in mariadb client , execute below command, when master update, slave replication normal , and log_bin and relay_log file could update normal too. stop slave; set global replicate_wild_do_table='test01.%,mysql.%' ; start slave; IF add replicate_wild_do_table='test01.%,mysql.%' in slave's my.cnf file and restart salve, replication normal, relay_log file could update, but log_bin file could not update. we test four machines, all have the problem . Please help confirm ,thanks . Ljr

2 of 3 mariadb servers 10.1, ubuntu 16.04 unable to install mariadb-connect-engine-10.1 with error The following packages have unmet dependencies: mariadb-connect-engine-10.1 : Depends: unixODBC but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. I fould bugreport at https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-10032 but it seems stalled? One other thing to note, apt-get upgrade does not upgrade mariadb to 10.1.15, only on the one that successfully installed mariadb-connect-engine-10.1 How do I solve this? I already tried apt-get purge mariadb* then reinstall but still same.

After some research, i tried this command: docker run --name mariadb -v /var/lib/mysql:/var/lib/mysql -d -p 3306:3306 -d mariadb:latest after stopping the local mariadb service, but this command didn't work. My webapplications didn't have any database access after. How do i currently move all databases? Is there a more secure way? I just want a drop-in replacement. [Maria-discuss] replicate to multimaster

Hi, I have a single Mariadb server 10.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 and 3 Mariadb 10.1 servers on Ubuntu 16.04 with multimaster setup (galera). Is it possible to setup replication from single server to one of multimasters to keep databases and grants updated on multimaster servers? Or should I export databases and grants from single server to any member os multimaster servers? Thanks for any tips/hints.

Hi, I want to configure my cluster of 3 nodes let's call them sql1, sql2, sql3 in the way that maxscale will only balance request to sql1 and sql2 but sql3 will be only for backup/donor purposes. My question is... how can I set permanent donor in galera ? Is wsrep_sst_donor the thing ? Thank you. Regards, TH

[Maria-discuss] Regarding DR site set-up

Dear Experts, I have a question on Max Scale requirement: In prod - we have two DB server as Primary(Master) and Secondary(Slave). Both being controlled via MaxScale. Do we need to really set it up similar way in DR site also? I meant - Do we need to keep Max Scale set it up in DR as well. Anyway, DR is going to be exceptional scenarios in which entire application servers also work out of DR site and we can still point all the app servers in DR site configured directly to access the Maria DB server at DR instead of Max Scale. Note: We are currently not using MaxScale for any complex needs, we are using MaxScale for normal routing like RW split etc. I know ideal is keep both Prod site and DR site equivalent. But as cost cutting on servers etc, shall we keep DR the way I mentioned. Could you please provide your opinion on this. Regards, Karthick
