[Maria-docs] Prep for MariaDB 5.5.34

I'm currently in the process of preparing for the MariaDB 5.5.34 release. Draft changelog and release notes are here: - https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb-5534-release-notes/ - https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb-5534-changelog/ As always, fixes, additions, and such are welcome. Buildbot is still working on building the packages and when it's finished I'll get them prepped, signed, and uploaded to the mirrors with the plan to release tomorrow morning US Eastern Time. Hi Bryan I'm attaching the screenshot. It's from the "global transaction id" page. As you can see, reading the whole text can be difficult. I've seen the "MariaDB" button, there is a problem: in the italian version, it leads to an error page :) Thanks! Federico

[Maria-docs] KB searches are very slow?

Hello, For a long time, search on KB felt very slow for me. Today I'm reporting it. Can we do something about this? [Maria-docs] Images on KB return error 404 now

Hi Bryan, I am looking at two KB pages that had images: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/semi-join-subquery-optimizations/ https://mariadb.com/kb/en/cassandra-storage-engine/ and the images are gone (they return 404). [Maria-docs] new kb usability

Hi, I think that new kb's look is great, but I see at least 3 usability problems: * The text is a bit too small for me. If I really want to read it, I have to zoom it one time * MariaDB logo now points to mariadb.com, and there is no prominent link to the KB home * In the home page, long titles appear truncated (probably they are in the HTML but part of them is hidden if they exceed 1 line). In this vary moment, if you look "Latest Articles", 5 and 3 titles appear identical for this reason Except for these issues, great job! Federico

I'm currently in the process of preparing for the MariaDB 10.0.5 Beta release. Draft changelog and release notes are here: - https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb-1005-release-notes/ - https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb-1005-changelog/ The release notes page is not much more than a template at present and needs to be be filled in before the release. Hi. This page: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/load-index/ says "It is not supported for tables having user-defined partitioning (see http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/partitioning-limitations.html)"; It sounds to me like a MySQL-only limitation, but I'm not sure. Is it correct? Federico
