[Maria-discuss] Aria_log file
How do you read the 'aria_log.0000001' file in the data directory? If I open it with a text editor, It appears to be binary, but mysqlbinlog says that it is not. I'm asking because it looks like 5.3.1 is continually (every two minutes) writing to the log, even with no database activity. This impacts automatic sleep on my Macbook Pro.
Hello, Please try setting aria-checkpoint-interval to a higher value (in seconds). Philip Stoev ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Dunn" <ric.dunn@mac.com> To: <maria-discuss@lists.launchpad.net> Sent: Sunday, September 25, 2011 6:49 PM Subject: [Maria-discuss] Aria_log file

Glad to hear. I have filed a bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/maria/+bug/859051 because it seems to me that those writes should not happen if there was no database activity. I compiled Maria 5.3.2 on OS X 10.7.2 yesterday and I can happily report that this bug has been fixed. Thanks!
