[Maria-discuss] MariaDb 10.2 in RHEL 5.3
Did anyone install the Maria DB 10.2 in RHEL Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga). I am planning to install this in Dev env, its not prod, Shall I try this. Regards, Karthick
Hi Karthick! We do test MariaDB on RHEL, but probably not this exact version (to the best of my knowledge). You should try it and let us know if something fails for you! Thanks, Vicențiu On Thu, 3 Aug 2017 at 13:32 Karthick Subramanian < ksubramanian@paycommerce.com> wrote:

RHEL5 is in "End of Production Phase" since 4 months ago - frankly what is the purpose of using the newest db-server on oldest OS instead keep the house clean and migrate to a proper supported OS version? https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/errata
