The packages are usually not available on every mirrors when the release mail is sent, it usually takes few hours for all mirrors to have the new packages. Le 27/01/2015 19:28, Peter Laursen a écrit :

you can't expect downloads 5 minutes after a release not available everywhere as you learned the last time even for the manual download from the homepage by select a different mirrir

When downloadingg/upgrading packagaes from inside SuSE/YaST you on't specify a mirror. There is no such option. SuSE handles this (it probably tries all mirrors till it finds one that works). The problem is and was that MariaDB 10.0.16 does not identify itself as an upgrade for 10.0.15 in a way that YaST can understand. -- Peter On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 3:14 PM, Colin Charles <colin@mariadb.org> wrote:

Discussion of mirrors is irrelevant for what I experienced. This is clear now. YaST "Online Update" interface did not (both yesterday and two hours ago), does not and will not identify that there is an upgrade available for MariaDB 10.0.15, when there actually was/is. I cannot decide it this is an issue with the RPM packaging or the repo configuration. But something is not correct for SuSE. -- Peter On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 3:29 PM, Reindl Harald <h.reindl@thelounge.net> wrote:

Hello, We are looking to use Galera 25.3.9 with our MariaDB cluster, which claims to improve the stability of communication between nodes in the event of network flakiness. Do you know if it will be compatible with MariaDB 10.0.16? The release notes for MariaDB Galera Cluster 10.0.16 seem to suggest that this should be safe, but it would be useful to know the official recommendation. Thanks, Raina and Lyle Cloud Foundry Services Team On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 6:45 AM, Daniel Bartholomew <dbart@mariadb.com> wrote:

MariaDB Galera 10.0.16 should be compatible with any 25.x.x galera versions. But, 25.3.9, in particular, has not been tested yet with MGC. Best, Nirbhay

Ok, I'll look into it.
Thanks!

The problem was/is another. The packages are available (now they are at least) . But they are not listed in in YaST "Online Update" interface. However if I go to "Software Management" interface and search "mariadb" it will tell me that .is installed and 1.0.16 is availoble. 10.0.16 is installed if I then choose to "redownload" (cliking the checkoboxes for each and change state from 'v-check mbol' (don't know what this is called in English) to an arrow). But that is not the correct way for a SuSE repository. Updates to installed packages should be found from "Online Update" interface. And one more issue: there is no "MariaDB-compat" package version 10.0.16. Is this intentional? And finally "rpm -qa" still does not list packages installed from the MariaDB repo. Can't we have this fixed, please? It is a showstopper. -- Peter On Tue, Jan 27, 2015 at 7:28 PM, Peter Laursen <peter_laursen@webyog.com> wrote:
On OpenSuse 12.3 YaST "Online Update" does not find 10.0.16 as an update available for already installed (From MariaDB's repository for OpenSuSE) 10.0.15. MariaDB's repository is still minitored by SuSE as image shows.
