power down the replication slave and rsync /var/lib/mysql to the backup-location or whatever folder is configured as datadir - to be honest you could have typed the same in a google search
I'm sure you have been told already but this question is on the KB, he can't see your answer. 2015-07-08 16:53 GMT+02:00 Reindl Harald <h.reindl@thelounge.net>:

i am sure you could have read my last reply on that topic because there are still two options: * don't spam the ML with web-board questions * connect ML replies to the topics, how don't bother me spam a ML with "you need to click here and login there" is crap

+1000 Complaining about the problem of the KB articles coming in email form is not going to help. It is unlikely that whomever controls that system is on this mailing list. Open a JIRA ticket if you want things to change, otherwise replying here is absolutely and totally pointless. On Wed, Jul 8, 2015 at 7:55 AM, Guillaume Lefranc <guillaume@adishatz.net> wrote:

Suit yourself. Nobody here needs an answer to that question. If somebody here needed an answer, they would ask the question. It is too specific to be of general use. I will repeat that it is silly to answer here. But do what you want. I'm not going to do your work for you and post your answer. that is ridiculous. --Justin On Fri, Jul 10, 2015 at 2:26 AM, Reindl Harald <h.reindl@thelounge.net> wrote:

No-one forced you to join the mailing list. At the end of the day, if you want to waste your own time replying to KB questions that no-one will ever see or care about, then that’s up to you. Don’t be surprised if the rest of us think that you are being ridiculous and stubborn for the sake of it. You might as well just not bother replying to questions submitted to KB and then we wouldn't be wasting our time pointing it out. Just let this chain die and get back to constructive threads on the list. No-one here is agreeing about this and I'm sure we all have more important things to do. -----Original Message----- From: Maria-discuss [mailto:maria-discuss-bounces+jamie.gibbard=netnames.com@lists.launchpad.net] On Behalf Of Reindl Harald Sent: 10 July 2015 12:37 To: Maria Discuss Subject: Re: [Maria-discuss] New Question: backup Am 10.07.2015 um 13:28 schrieb Justin Swanhart:
