I did install jemalloc and jemalloc-devel, verified ldconfig also to ensure that it lists libjemalloc.so, but I still see the same error after removing CMakeCache.txt and doing the cmake.

"jemalloc not found" should be pretty clear

install "jemalloc-devel" or "jemalloc-dev" depending on your OS
