Sorry, my link was wrong.  It was 10.1.9 appearing on this page https://downloads.mariadb.org/ (now replaced with 10.1.10). And it was the 64 bit.msi installer.

The folder C:\Program Files\MariaDB 10.1\include\mysql and its subfolders have a large number of ".h" files. Isn't this a build script bug?
