Hello,
I've recently discovered the QueryRewrite plugin. I was wondering if there was any thought, or active work on making the rewrite rules associated with a connection/session.
If there is not any active work on this, would the community find this useful? If so I would be willing to start development towards it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
My assumption was the query rewrite plugin was aimed at rewriting queries where the code couldn't be changed for some reason (e.g. closed source). If the code can be changed to support a session variable activation of QueryRewrite, the code can be changed to change the queries it was going to rewrite. Based on these assumptions I can't see the use of a QueryRewrite on a session basis. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJWUOhLAAoJEMXeEgVQ15xMrHQH/j5RY2LcoLmUlOe5KBiuhHK+ fouZie88FLrUXIeLIxu27gA+xRHy7FbmYB4NwPEAEyPi+WMrHHHTzZi0sQ/cVMIh SzkkMESsK4NksB/VgwuEzQ3PP8tDXSquA/xKs3ooWPMHZ7LO6kgIFbS8k2Vk631M 6e1TE7TbJkH7jgEWBYL7h9lL97TYnfV+Yfm7RvslmvDom0f/m073AU3eiVb7DhkO yi6Ei6h9JOx69ouLEPM37Qa1nc9Gsl1JMfT1Hmc2VxlUib5q73eVNlRSVPMW37BN HZVp2re+VFiQFdXWWO/u+JOEF+GRmeXhNqw+DOYh/baD5u7QBIDnJEmhjcZQs2g= =E3iE -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
