Binaries have been uploaded for both x86 and amd64 platforms. due to github file size limitations , the directories have been uploaded unarchived. for Win33 binaries , please checkout https://github.com/YannNayn/galera-mariadb-win32.git and for Win64(amd64) binaries (being uploaded/pushed): https://github.com/YannNayn/galera-mariadb-win64.git they are not recommended for a production environment. in the my.cnf file: _________ wsrep_provider=galera_smm.dll wsrep_sst_method=msqldump # percona xtrabackup will be tested soon _________ libevent and openssl(the provided binaries use respectively 2.1.3-alpha and 1.1.0-dev versions ) will be added next on github some limitations are stated on openssl website copied here for convenience: ____________ from http://www.openssl.org/ ____________ This software package uses strong cryptography, so even if it is created, maintained and distributed from liberal countries in Europe (where it is legal to do this), it falls under certain export/import and/or use restrictions in some other parts of the world. Hi All, I have a query which shows type REF when explained in MySQL 5.5/5.6. However, the same query shows type INDEX in MariaDB 10.0.9 I.e. the query is a lot slower in MariaDB. Any one has the similar experience please? Please drop me a line. -- James Qian Wang

Hi all, I would like to know the most affecting InnoDB pain points the customers/potential customers first refer. By pain point, I mean anything that causes concerns, restricts sales etc, pain point can be bug, missing feature, usage problem, performance etc. My goal on asking this question is to find out what are the real issues customers or potential customer are struggling or issues that block customers using MariaDB. After that I will see what I can do about the situation and plan forward to address the raised issues with proper priorities. Hi folks, I'm reasonably experienced with MySQL and MMM for cluster management but now I am working on a project to replace this with a MariaDB Galera cluster. Then I decided to add a load of config options from my old MySQL install to the MariaDB install, and now it fails to start up, but doesn't give an obvious error message. Hello, A new question has been asked in "MariaDB Documentation" by eddow: -------------------------------- Greetings, I am attempting to set up Multi Master Replication. So far, I have been able to set up multiple masters and data is replicated to one slave. This works great. What I am having a problem with is if I add a new master. When I add the master the data in the slave table is truncated and only the data from the new master is replicated. I loose all my old data in the slave. [Maria-discuss] Does ADD/DROP INDEX update the InnoDB buffer pool?

Hi all, When adding or dropping a primary and/or secondary index is the InnoDB buffer pool updated too? Is the pool changed in place or will the LRU algo just evict to make room? In the second case buffers of other tables on the server might be affected too and the server would run with a more or less cold buffer pool. We have to fiddle with indices on production servers, which by itself is a precarious matter. So I tried to find out how ADD/DROP INDEX operations affect the memory/buffer pool of our servers. Since I wasn't able (or too stupid) to find something about this topic it would be great if someone could help me out and point me in the right direction. BTW: Version is MariaDB 5.5 Cheers, Shorty
