[Maria-developers] Aria engine integrity
Hi guys, another doubt about mariadb, now about aria... i'm using aria since myisam is a bit unsecure and have a slow recovery/repair process, aria storage is more secure my doubt is... could i use aria engine over a ext2 file system and have a 'security' near a jornaled file system (xfs for example) + myisam? or maybe xfs+aria? what's better? just one repair, from aria engine, or two repairs, one from file system and other from aria? thanks guys -- Roberto Spadim

these are completly different things how should a application replace the integrity of the underlying filesystem?

No. You need both. Why? Otherwise you get to wait a whole bunch of time for fsck after crash and *then* recovery time for the database. -- Stewart Smith
yes i got this part and i was thinking that's right before, just a doubt the second part is my main problem, could a wrong parameter creating and mounting a filesystem, result in low integrity / low security for aria engine? maybe a buffer that isn't write or something like this 2013/4/20 Stewart Smith <stewart@flamingspork.com>
