Hi I completed my MSc thesis, that was performed with the co-supervision of Sergei Golubchik from Monty Program AB. It's titled "Towards the universal spatial data model based indexing and its implementation in MySQL" which translates into doing a literature overview for R-tree based spatial indexes, GiST trees (Generalized Search Trees) and implementing them in MyISAM.
