the knielsen_binlog_in_engine branch for comparison.

we will set these parameters for mariadb-11.4.6

log_bin=1 innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=1 sync_binlog=1

and then these for knielsen_binlog_in_engine

log_bin=1 innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=1 sync_binlog=1 binlog_storage_engine=innodb
