Thanks for confirming. Here is a pull request with a fix for the bug:

So far, I have verified that it works as expected on Linux. I will verify that it works as expected on Windows (and push any relevant changes to the PR) after I set up a test environment in a few days.

Please excuse any errors in filing the PR- this will be my first contribution to MariaDB :)
