Yes, it didn't work. However, since I'm compiling in buildroot, the
source tree is not present on the image. So I supposed
/path/to/mariadb is the installation prefix (/usr) but I'm not sure.

However I noticed that a number of /usr/share/<language>/errmsg.sys
exist, for different languages (errmsg.sys does not exist anywhere
else in the image). I just symlinked /usr/share/english/errmsg.sys to
/usr/share/mysql/errmsg.sys and was then able to start mariadb. Is
this the way to go?
