Kristian, There's a well-known problem in MySQL that relay_log.info is not always in sync with the database state, and killing and restarting server at an unfortunate time will cause it to re-execute last statement and potentially break replication. Did you fix this situation with GTIDs and rpl_slave_state table? It looks like with GTIDs it's really easy to solve the problem -- rpl_slave_state has GTID of the last executed transaction, so on restart one needs just to ignore all relay logs and re-connect to master with the last GTID. Did you do that? If not are you planning to do that? Thank you, Pavel

Hi guys, I'm not able to find any info about life cycle of MariaDB 5.5 or even other versions. Particularly if the MariaDB 5.5 life cycle will somehow follow the MySQL's 5.5 life cycle or if there is some another vision/rough plans when supporting of 5.5 will end? Cheers, Honza

hi guys, why we can't cache "union" queries with query cache? http://www.mysqlperformanceblog.com/2006/07/27/mysql-query-cache/ *Caching full queries only *– Meaning it does not work for subselects, inline views, parts of the UNION. This is also common missunderstanding. -- Roberto Spadim

You need to do that from the MariaDB source tree. Put your plugin in the plugin/ directory, where other plugins are. Regards, Sergei

I put the <plugin>.c file and the CmakeLists.txt in a folder on my desktop and ran *cmake .* CMake Warning (dev) in CMakeLists.txt: No cmake_minimum_required command is present. A line of code such as cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8) should be added at the top of the file. The version specified may be lower if you wish to support older CMake versions for this project. For more information run "cmake --help-policy CMP0000". This warning is for project developers. Use -Wno-dev to suppress it. then i ran *cmake . -Wno-dev* CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:1 (MYSQL_ADD_PLUGIN): Unknown CMake command "MYSQL_ADD_PLUGIN". -- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred! Hi, How do I go about compiling the plugin in mariadb? I searched online, but only found the mysql method : https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/compiling-plugin-libraries.html I'm getting some errors there, but, I wanna know, if it's done differently or like this?
